I'm afraid I turned that off for now. I could not see how to use it, and with the "suspension" crisis, kicking anything that might be impacting performance was the absolute priority.

We do take regular snaphsots and post them here, so it is possible to look manually for trends.

I think it goes to show how important that top left hand slot is. The site has become quite chickeny over the last week or so as it's that time of year.

I note no one seems to have played with the article selections in Editors Choice yet!

It's about time though Winter wild foods came at just about the right time, and top ten mushrooms similarly snuk in right near the end of mushrooming season.

Might it be too much to suggest that we keep the most recent wild foods article in the editors pick section? I kind of like the monthly article idea, and I rekon it might be worth keeping the current article up there. March will be arriving on Bugs's 'to look through' list soon.

We may be able to do it tonight, unless anyone else wants a go.

Not at all, sounds like a good idea to me. Any other ideas?

Time for the Ed to shuffle the pack today. The question is, are people interested in the hens as it's that time of year, or because it's in the Ed's choice?

Basically should the article stay in the Ed's choice or be moved?

Well we have approx 100 search engines hits through this month on the chickens. We also promote the chicken article off site.

My logic for the latter, was "play to your success" if it works why stop doing it?

But then again if something is steaming of its own accord, pushing something else might be a good call.

As such I'm ambivilant as to whether it should be moved out. Forced to vote, I think I would vote no.

Off the top of my head, I think we'll put the Feb foraging at the top, the eggonomics article next, keep the stuck ferment article as people may have that at this time of year, move the chicken article to the bottom of the list and find a couple more. The allotment article, maybe keep the first steps article? Is there a season for smoking?

What ever you do, do not strat off by assumming that the selection that was there, was some masterfully designed list

It was thrown together to test the module, with articles that on the basis of 2 seconds of thought, seemed like decent candidates.

No we're carfully planning this one. Just like New Labour we'll give the impression of being even handed and fair and I'll select the articles that suit my interests.

Woe, woe and thrice woe. Overtaken.

Oh well. I'm happy that it's such a good article that's gone to the most viewed spot here. I've been bemused by the success of the foraging articles here for quite some time.
