I came across this when I was working in the far North of Scotland.
I have *no* idea if they are good people, doing good work, or evil landowners who hate peasants, or even French. However, I shall post, and you may find it of interest/value/whatever.
They seem to get given bits of fishing, which they auction off as a fund raiser. The auction is closed for this year, *but* there are lots unsold, and they will accept offers on the unsold ones. Days appear to start for as little as 50, and run up to several hundred. Unsold lots go for 80% of the reserve price. (the one in brackets)
I have a list of the unsold lots as a .doc. PM me, and I'll send it to you, if anyone wants it.
