I doubt you'll get much joy from BSA. They're owned by GAMO of spain now, and their customer service department has been depleted. BSA are more interested in pushing new sales, not helping you with something purchased aeons ago, unfortunately.
Doe it have fixed open sights? If so, learn to shoot with them. Even with an air rifle at 12ft/lbs, you should never be shooting at a living creature more than 25 metres away, and that's easy stuff with open sights. It'll give you a real appreciation of pellet ballistics and the limitations of air rifles in general. Most people I know who have trouble hitting what they shoot at, even with a good 'scope, are like that because they've never shot open sights. I see it as a very necessary step to learning how to shoot.
If you find a good gunsmith, they can machine cut dovetails into the cylindar to take scope mounts. But tbh, if you find a 'smith good enough to do that, it'll probably cost you a fair few quid. Maybe best buying a new one that's pre-cut for a scope. Check out the lightning from BSA - best value for money on the market imo. |
