Got a lot done on Sunday.
Planted three rows of first early spuds (rocket), two rows of Jerusalem artichokes (fuseau), two rows of parsnips, a row of turnips, spring onions, onions (red and normal), broad bean seedlings, shallots... Lots of stuff. Much more still to plant, but it's early yet. All the turning, weeding, breaking up and raking seems worthwhile now!
And we have a frog in the new pond! Just the one, a chap I assume, so lets hope he sings his heart out and attracts a mate soon. Seeding it with sludge might have helped, or maybe not.
Had a second fire on Friday night to get rid of the last of the rubbish a previous person left on the plot. Still too much of her stuff in the shed, though. May have to phone her again and let her know I'll be locking the shed from Easter. |
