You've asked for advice and have been given some . Your response to Fish was hardly appropriate or pleasant.

i dont know if you read my initial question ? advice he sent was not relevant . i think you will find that my reply was a bit tongue in cheek, where as his was abusive .

[mod hat on]Calm down a bit in here will you. People earlier in the thread had asked for advice on skinning/gutting. Nobody needs to be getting bent out of shape. Play nicely or you'll all have to go and share the naughty step.[/mod hat off]

place can be varied
mouth of stream into sea
go inland via wet places
mill dam or garden pond
mobile and adaptable critters
flowing water or still water
river or canal or tank in a shop
if the bait can put scent downstream through an eely area is good
hook n bait works
take a cloth for handling

squid is good bait .off offal is good .dead things is what they want
i recon they eat a lot of squid at sea or maybe they wanted to but missed out until the found one in a sack or on a hook
congers are not like up yurr river eels ,they have big teeth and a robust attitude to those who would eat them and need hunting in a different way
