None of my plums are ready yet, so just bought some Jubileum plums from Sainsbury's - 99p. Unusually for supermarket plums they are English (from Kent - J.Myatt), and actually ripe. Rather nice. I think they are a kind of super-Victoria - bigger and with a bit more flavour.

The ones my wife bought weren't all that, eating one now, not really that ripe or tasty unfortunately. The farm shop had Herman for a couple of weeks, an excellent small black plum, skins far too thin for supermarkets though, much better than Early Rivers.
