Mochyn's mention of tree decorations in the knitted novelties thread reminded me that we don't have any sort of Thingymas decorating article.
This strikes me as very remiss. Sooooo, if you have any suitable ideas, recipes, patterns, photographs, instructions, linkies or whatever, could you post them in this thread and we can compile them into a comprehensive Downsizers' article for your delight and delectation.

judith: you sweetie! Thanks for this. Two of the thingies I've made are on the garnstudio site:

https://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=104&d_id=46&lang=en is a lovely heart, and

https://www.garnstudio.com/lang/en/visoppskrift.php?d_nr=104&d_id=44&lang=en is a star/snowflake. There are baubles there too.

I have instructions for a chinese lantern style thingymas card somewhere - when I did these a few years ago everyone loved them, and hung them on their trees - my mum has hers up all the time!
