Bouyed up by finding 3 demijons from two stalls a few week ago, I optimistically was hoping for more today.

No such luck, but i did get a couple of 3 pint Kilner jars for a quid each.

I am sure I will find a use for them. We used to use Kilner jars for the Sloe Gin, but plastic buckets took over last year as we hit mass production levels

Have a look at the 'Freezers' thread on energy conservation
You can get spare parts for Kilners.

The rings on these ones are servicable

If anyone does want parts for Kilner jars, I've got a list of suppliers at work - I can post it tomorrow (when I've been to work and retrieved the list) if anyone's interested. It's the list that was published in The Organic Way a few issues back.

That sort of information is always useful: I have several Kilners that I use for storing dry stuff, and I live in fear of the rings collapsing and the contents getting mushy!
