Have anyone got a copy of October 07 issue of The Connexion - French News in English? I accidentally used mine to light the fire and OH hadn't read it all yet

It is and I am having to light the fire twice a day as it will not stay in when I am out visiting OH - I only have small very dry logs at the moment and am waiting for a log delivery this week - I just hope these are not the opposite and too wet

Sorry no.

You'd best check when your logs arrive that they are for use this year.
We've just ordered some but for storage and use next year or year after. If you get really stuck for wood diy/garden stores sell some - expensive - but when needs must etc...

It's cold here too. We finally gave in at the weekend and put on our electric storage heaters. But with a newish more powerful stove in the kitchen we've put them on a lower setting than last year. They just eat up money!
