Until I was about 20 I used to use bows a lot, and have just inherited two competition bows with all the paraphenalia, butts, arrows, fletching jigs, etc. Any kindred spirits out there?

Yep, I was well into archery untill I did my shoulder in a couple of years ago. There is a very good club near you at Lilleshall, Its called Audo Archers, they meet on a wednesday night, the bloke to speak to is Ray Fisher. If you need any more info, let me know.

The kit comprises: two take down bows, 300 graphite arrows, a butt, fletching jig, chest protector, cary case for the lot, six sets of interchangeable limbs, ........

Yes, at the sports centre. Lilleshall is also home of GNAS - the national body for arcchery in the uk, the facilities are superb. That sounds like some kit, did you really mean 300 arrows and they are carbon???? What make and size are they. Any idea if the make and weights of the risers and limbs?

About 300 arrows, of which I think a few dozen are carbon. The bows and limb details I'll check and get back to you later.

Bloody shame that these are just stuck in your loft when someone could be getting some use out of them - why not donate them to your local club?

I have never tried these - always fancied one of those mongolian jobbies though....

I've had a few goes at it over the years. I always thought I'd quite like to take it up properly but have never got round to it.

I have found a club to join that had butts and field targets but just need to get the fees together, they are very reasonable at �80 a year plus the fees for joining the proffesional bodies to give the insurance but as me and the wife want to join it adds up, they will lend us kit for a few months so we can try different stuff and learn what to buy but I am a bit of an awkard sod being left handed but they reckon they have 5 or 6 bows I could use, I fancy a longbow as well and I can shoot that at the club as well.
