75g root ginger, peeled and chopped
3 red chillies, deseeded and chopped
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2tbsp veg oil
1kg finely minced lamb
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 tsp ground methi (fenugreek)
2tsp salt
1tsp garam masala
1 bunch fresh mint, finely chopped

Whizz the ginger, chillies, garlic and veg oil together to a paste. (Or use a pestle and mortar.)
Mix with the lamb, onion, methi, salt and garam masala.
Work the chopped mint into the mixture.
Cover bowl and leave in fridge to chill.
Make into burgers (or kebabs on skewers if you feel ambitious).
Grill.

I made minty yoghurt sauce to go with them which worked very well.

1/2 a big tub of plain yoghurt
a tablespoon of mint jelly

whizz.

Depends a bit on how much they decide they like them. 4 to 8 depending on what other food you've got.
