if my river wasnt toxic i would be very happy with the grayling size rule

never got one bigger than 30 cm ,prince of fish
small perch are ace to make garam with ,big ones bbq ,carp ,chub delicious
eels are very tasty but a combo of things has put european ones on the endangered list ,i will respect that ,although being the bloke that ate the last eel is a interesting if twisted thought, well if there is only one i may as well scran it

Thats right, only these,

* Up to 15 small fish (up to 20cm) of barbel, chub, common bream, common carp, crucian carp, dace, perch, pike, roach, rudd, silver bream, smelt or tench
* Up to two grayling of 30-38cm
* A single pike of up to 65cm

i have eaten a few that would now be over/undersize ,i think it makes sense to protect the stocks from random harvest zander are quite good eating if you have them they will be about the only thing in the water

I was concerned that elvering licences are still being issued so i asked the Environment agency, they say they are obliged to issue them but will be putting measures in place to decrease the number issued.
