Just realised my microbore is 8mm and not 10mm and I can't even seem to find an 8mm coupling at screwfix

this lot seem to have the range:

https://www.edirectory.co.uk/pf/pages/shopcart.asp

But I was wondering about other places that might be recommended. I intend kitting myself out with loads of pipe, flexible tap connectors, isolating valves and other assorted bits, so I don't find myself in the lurch when I try and plumb all me bathroom bits in.

Try a company called BES. I can dig out the exact web address tonight. They don't generally sell to the public but I've not had any problems. Their catalogue is full of great things.

So they accept orders like 3 15mm isolation valves, plus an assortment of other things in equally low quantities?

The have for me. The postage was free a year or so ago. Now it's only free for over 45 pounds or something like that.

I have ordered single fittings in a mixed order. Like all these places, check everything you recieve but BES have always corrected any mistakes by the next post.

They sell a large amount of gas fittings, hence why they do not advertise to the public.

Well, there's me trying to be helpful, and I open the catalogue and there are about 10 pages including isolating valves and I don't really know what they are or which ones you want - I assume it's for the shower/bathroom but even there?...look, I'm a girl. I've done the washing up and made dinner and fed the chickens tonight, I do not need to know plumbing terms too

So it's https://www.bes.co.uk and for hat it's worth they seem to list unit and bulk-buy prices for most things. Sept 2004 cat says free delivery over 40, next day on most, very like Screwfix really.

Try PlumpCentre on Chaney Mannor Trading estate (just past the garden centre). They were the same price as screwfix and you could buy singles of anything.

Plumb centre.

Tell them you are working on a big project, and open an account. Not only will you get to charge all the bits you need, they will give you discount for the privilege
