Well that cuts down our options considerably, what does adoption of websafe colours mean for us?

As that article says, there should be very few people using 256 colours any more......but why does the top look different in ie than firefox? That's something I just don't get. Is that something Websafe colours would fix?

It means you are sure not to get the issue you will see with the logo in the forums when viewed in interent explorer.

Though this might seem blasphemous to older readers of my books, or loyal website visitors, I believe it's safe to design without the palette. I believe this because so few computer users view the web in 256 colors anymore.

I certainly don't, but why then is my internet explorer showing a problem

Don't assume btw that I am in favour of the web safe colors. I am not sure at all.

No, I think I mentioned websafe colours first of all.

It would probably (still not sure) be better for the logo, where two colours are meeting and need to match, but for the bg colour say, i think that could be anything. What does a pastel green look like or is that too much green? (Ignore that, I think it will look better as it is now)

Whatever you have done to the colours today, I love. I like the way the posts alternate as well.

It is like coming on a new site, everytime I log on!!

Read the various threads on cosmetics and whilst we are progressing in general agreement, cosmetis are always very subjective.

You can rely on me make comments.

Took me a few moments to spot where to log in, and it is a little strange to start with but I find I need a few days to get used to it.
