Haven't seen anything round here yet, we have a few flocks of sheep locally, with a rare breed flock at the end of our village. I enjoyed Mad Cowmans article on lambing - takes me back to when I was a girl.

Bloomin' heck - we don't normally see anything round here till back end of Feb/beginning of March - but not one lamb at present.

We started on December the 8th. Just starting to look a bit tasty! We have lambed 20 ewes so far, with one ewe death. Lamb survived and was fostered onto another. We also have another 60 twin lambs, with ewes, which my friend houses here for a few weeks, as he doesn't have enough barn space. Next lot of lambing starts after Easter, the same week as calving

Where do all the lambs go? I mean all for market, some for adding to the flock, some for your own use etc?

my friend sells meat at the farmers market. She raises her own chicken, pork and beef, but they don't care much for lambing, so I have the sheep, as I love them and she buys whatever we can produce, apart form the few we eat ourselves, and the flock replacers.
