Hi all, I'm just about to go & collect this years Tamworth weaners for fattening up, has anybody put a goat in with them? I was thinking of getting a goat this year and wondered if they would live together in the same paddock or I would end up with fighting and more trouble than it's worth? Ta Simon

Hi Simon, probably not quite the same but we have goats living with all the animals, lambs and calves and any other animals that happen to be around, the goats actually just roam free and spend time with the other animals so I should imagine they will get on alright, then again it depends on the nature of the goat as well, we currently have a friends goat in for rehablitation as she is extremely aggressive and uses her horns to any creature she comes across so you would evidently need one with a good nature. I had two Pygmy goats and two Kune Kune pigs and tried putting them in together. The pigs ignored the goats but the goats really didn't like the pigs and I had to separate them again. The goats (horned) kept really badly butting the pigs and wouldn't let them into their sleeping quarters. It may have been because the goats were there first and didn't like newcomers, who knows ...

You will probably just have to try and see ....
