What to do with a box of curtains?

I helped clear the church hall last week, and one of the things I came away with was a box of assorted curtains.

I think they are past it as curtains, but it doesn't seem right to send them to the rag merchant.

Any thoughts?

Dog-bed liners? Give them to the RSPCA or the cat-collecting people?

When you say "assorted curtain" my ears pricked up.
What material are they? Could they be made into "other things"?

Any chance of any pics of the fabrics?
You might think they're past it/horrible but some of us might think they're wonderful!

Make good dust sheets. We have a large collection of old curtains which get used every time anything needs painting

the braid/strip whatever you want to call it, that goes across the top of the curtains for the hooks, is quite expensive to buy new so is worth removing and saving even if the curtains themselves are shot.

That was my thinking, but not my field.

I'll see what I can do, but is that "Gerlan" in your profile the one near Bethesda? 'cos the box is only in Bangor.
