Crystallised rose petals are nice. As is rose petal wine; make as for any flower wine, really, with something like four, five or six cupfulls of petals. It's one I make sweet, ant it tastes like Turkish delight. Make it dryer and it's an interesting social wine, but I find that it goes down better with most people a little sweet.
There's also rose petal jam; haven't got a recipe handy, but I can dig one out. It doesn't keep so well, but it's nice for a while.
You can, of course, sprinkle handfulls of petals in salads, you can store the petals in sugar (the sugar takes on a tiny bit of the taste), and I'm sure that there are various waters/oils and the like you can make. |
