Can anyone help with this one please?

It's the size that is confusing us. It was found yesterday in the Forest of Dean

It stands 9". 23cm high and was visible from miles away. It's diameter is 7" 28cm.

Any help gratefully received, thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Allen + Linda

Thanks Wildfoodie, It's just that all our books give the size of a parasol as about a third of this one, so that confused us. Cheers

no you are making a mistake in positive id ,parasols grow to 15 inches,35 cm+,you must be looking at the wrong lepiota if it says 3 inches 7.5cm,check again!!!! Roger Phllips says 10-25cm but often in good conditions they'll grow bigger
