I have repaired the oven in time for Christmas. Took an impact driver to move the screws holding the defunct heating element in place.

Haven't had turkey in years. Rib of beef this year. Doing it and everything else with only one smallish oven working was looking interesting.

We enjoy Turkey at Xmas, but its the one time in the year we will buy Turkey. Basically because we don't consider it anything special.

It's a magical electric one. She let the dogs loose in the house last night rather than shutting them in the kitchen, so that they could escape if the house caught fire. I'm not concerned at all.

dry powder is an extinguishant of choice for cookers and fuse boxes.

messy but adaptable to various problems.
