How much would you pay to rent a smallholding with land? We are toying with the idea of renting ours but can't find any comparable rentals. We have three beds, a barn, a polytunnel, workshop, stables, field shelter and three and a half acres near Spalding. Had the place valued recently but not sure we want to totally part with it... We keep sheep, pigs, ponies and poultry on it, our main worry is if WE rent somewhere else, we won't be able to take our beloved cats with us! We would downsize to somewhere smaller land wise, say half an acre as long as it was rural, preferably with no neighbours...

Any reason you couldn't take cats?

wow, seems expensive for half an acre. Renting with pets is tricky, most places don't allow it sadly.

i was horrified but not surprised between uk prices/ size of land and the rest of the EU .

on the plus side it looks like you would get a good rental price for your place which seems ideal for the equestrian / domestic smallholder market .
