That has always been my feeling too. But I can't find anything about that on the internet, because they always think that I mean the leaves when I talk about green on carrots.

Interestingly, in Holland where I grew up, you are told that you should cut off the green bits from potatoes because of the solanin. They don't mention the eyes.

My husband keeps taking off the sprouts from the stored potatoes several times each season. He says that they won't waste so much energy sprouting if he keeps taking them off.

Didn't eat it, wisely, I think it was wishful thinking that I could. I thought I'd make it into soup and cook it for hours. But that may not help against everything, may it?
