I think it helps if you have a unique product or service though as well - so many craft fairs are full of the same old products with no imagination or relevance to customer needs.

We've just planted some paper whites that we'd forgotten about. The lot we planted came up within 6 -8 weeks.

We only grow elelphant garlic and that was planted October - ordinary garlic just doesn't do well here.
