Am well insulated in loft and floors.
Concentrating now on windows internal "baps", made from rockwool and cardboard with a covering of sheet/blanket whatever.
Designed but not yet made.

A cheap, even free alternative to soya in the UK is runner beans, dried on the pod.
According to 'Diet for a small Planet', legumes combined with grains, rice or milk, makes for a complete protein.

What is wanted Fallscrape, is an overwintering runner bean.
A b it like the way Passiflora climbers now come thru. Then maybe if you could cultivate an evergreen runner that would be a bonus.  |

You could try cutting them down, this will increase the root size, protect in the meantime with fleece. Keep cutting them down until time to plant, end May.
