Because the majority of men's underwear is bought by their Mums or their wives.

The men loitering in the ladies section I'm less sure about.

Most of my clothes are M&S or Monsoon sales stock. There is a shop doing Nomad stuff in town, but it's always just a bit too hippy for me for work, and most of my everyday wear is too tatty for work.

Regatta double lined trousers - eBay Underwear M&S or bravissimo for very posh T shirts, well anything silly and fun online I like nomad stuff but rarely buy it Work requires a uniform fortunately so no effort or buying required. DM shoes and boots bought from eBay again.....I like eBay it is cheap!!! Oh and Tescos for black shocks as they were 5 for a �1

M&S has a HUGE 'ladies with big knockers' section, these days. I was quite impressed.

I actually visited a shop - the Taunton one, which seemed quite big to me, but I'm a bit out of touch. There was a big range.

Charity shops and sales and M&S undies they had buy one get one 1/2 price on their knicker packs in Bideford at the weekend.....so i treat myself I do like Next Jeans but only buy in the sales!

I get the Roma cut Per Una stretch jeans from M&S as they have enough stretch to move freely in - something to take into account when they get relegated to allotment wear with age.

Found the perfect lightweight garden trousers in the Next sale (skinny leg stretch combats) and bought three pairs. Their Birkenstock type sandals are perfect for me, so I have pairs in three colours. Four if I manage to find an orange pair in my size. Same with the wide fit work boots.

I guess if you're and awkward shape or size you stock up on hard to find stuff, and the rest goes on t shirts.

The vast majority of my clothes are cast offs from some source or another, mostly given rather than bought. The last item I remember buying was a jacket from a charity shop in February. I'm able to look a complete state around the farm so I tend to wear clothes until they literally fall apart.

If I ran a chain of shops selling women's clothes, especially underwear, I would put in comfy sofas, coffee machines and big tellies, showing sports. Then, the men would sit and think nothing of waiting for 14 hours for her to eventually come back to choosing the first frock/jeans/shirt she tried on. As it is, you can see men looking very uncomfortable hanging around women's departments as she goes to the fitting room. As a result, I'm sure women get dragged away earlier than planned, and sales are lost.

Me, I buy my own pants, often from M&S, or Next. Work clothes from TM Lewin, and other stuff from other places. Tacky Maxx probably.

I don't often buy clothes but I usually get a couple of new pairs of jeans and a couple of tops each year. When I do buy clothes it's pretty much as follows:

Charity shops - for one off impulse buys if something takes my fancy

M&S for jeans and cords as it's the only place I ever manage to find ones that fit comfortably. Sometimes for skirts and cardigans for looking smart in.

Mantaray - tops. Quite expensive for me but I do love their stuff.

Blacks - for fleecy jumpers

ASDA - everyday knickers and socks
