Thanks for coming to find out about Localfoodshop, the virtual farmer's market where you will be able to buy great food and drink on-line, direct from local producers who you can trust. The range of top-quality produce will be really amazing, coupled with easy delivery and a no-quibble guarantee.

Localfoodshop is, uniquely, owned by the producer members, so 93% of your purchase price goes directly to the producers, supporting your local economy and keeping Britain's farms viable. Compare that with the supermarkets!

If you are a potential customer, we'll get back to you as soon as the site is open - so click here to send us your contact details now. You can also help us by telling your local producers to get online with Localfoodshop.

For producers, Localfoodshop provides a cheap, high profile way for you to sell direct to households or trade buyers. Through partnerships with other organisations and on-going PR, we'll be driving over one million consumers to this website.

Couple this with a simple admin system to allow you to keep products and prices up-to-date, discounted courier rates and packaging costs, and prompt payment, your business can really take off. Find out more here.

I looked at it earlier and have requested more info. But 6% of every sale and 10 a month, plus how many other producers will be doing, somehow the pledge that the 6% is soley for running costs.....

Credit cards can take a fair chunk of those costs and for those without a website, it can cut out those costs too. Of course it'll depend on the market demographics & their prices, but 10 should be insignificant to volume as a fixed cost. We'll see, I've yet to read the detailed info on it...
