Hi
checked on a few site on how to make pollen patty, confused, frustrated
where can I buy low fat soyabean flour, powered milk (non instant) and brewers yeast, dried egg yolk.
I imagined in my naivety that all the big super market chains should sell at least soyabean flour, even the big health shop chain dosen't sell dried egg yolk, only place I haven't been is Boots they used to have a brewing section did'nt they, please help I live in Harlow Essex, if you have an alternative patty recipe please post

Cheers

Hang on orhdpos, someone who knows will be along soon, when they've shut up the hens for the night.

Never bothered with pollen substitute.
Much of what I've read says it's next to useless & in some instances can be detrimental to the bees.
The only time you may need it is early in the season to help build up the brood but I'm blessed with lots of early pollen (willow).
Natural is best IMO.
