This is something I know very little about, but which has always looked really appealing. Can anyone give me any pointers on where to turn to for advice or more information? Cheers.

I've owned ferrets in the past, I think I have a couple of books around as well.

Is it techniques or husbandry you want info on?

Techniques mainly. I've a good friend who is a big ferret fan, so I can get advice on keeping ferrets happy quite easily. Going from having a pet ferret to that ferret earning its keep rabbiting is where I don't know where to get information on.

Your best bet for techniques is to find someone near you who ferrets and ask if you can go out with them a couple of times. You could try asking your butcher who he gets his rabbits from.

Hunting websites might be helpful but you'd be best finding someone near you to go out with a few times first, not easy unless you already know someone. All you need is a couple of ferrets, a few nets, a locator & collars, a spade and a dog to mark the bunnies. Shame you don't live a bit nearer cab.

Excellent action pictures, I used to make do without a dog but I can see that one would be helpful, especially if you are working a large warren.
