Hello all am in process of building 4 x 8 ft heat panel need help from any one that has built one(dont mean to be rude but advise from arm chair quarterbacks,self ordained rocket scientists people that have never worked a day in their life and the people that can critique other peoples posts with educated lunacy i would like advise from people that have been blessed with common SENSE none from the above) here we go,4x8 ft panel 2 inch foam insulation in back and sides 1/4 inch glass or thicker,next is main part,one quart discarded oil bottles black in color to be filled with non freezing liquid oil or water with anti freeze filled with enough space to allow for expansion two pvc pipes one at top and bottom both run into building the bottom pipe to have 12 volt fan (salvaged from old computer) powered by pv panel with temp switch to turn on fan ,the placement of oil bottles to be so there is about 1 or two inches between them the point for these is for heat mass in case of cloud comes by, any critism on this.

I'm afraid that I fall in the no common sense bracket. However, there is a yahoo group: [email protected] which talks about such things. Specifically, there is a lady called Laren Corrie who seems to be blessed with great common sense and knowledge who writes about such things. She may be able to help, Peter.

Hi Hot., .....Google have some very active groups in this area ....Alt. Solar Photovoltaic ....Alt. Energy Homepower ....Alt. Energy renewables............. A lot of the info is lost to me but no doubt useful to yourself.
