Hi and hello to all
I have just found this interesting site. I live near the top of a mountain on an olive farm (not worth harvesting, money is useless).
I have two donkeys 4 hens (for eggs)and a rooster and 5 spanish black turkeys.
I am aiming to become totally self sufficient for my food needs apart from milk and marmite

.
The soil is pretty useless here but with the aid of plenty of homegrown manure it is improving all the time.
Rainfall is about 3 times a year but I am connected to a cooperative well, so watering isn't a problem.
I am planning on getting a breeding pair of kune kune pigs this winter.
