My name is Carolyn Ekins and I've just returned to the UK after 9 years in Canada. I'm thrilled to still see Downsizer going strong.

I'm now living in a town on the outskirts of a city (Nottingham) and I only have a small garden and now a landlord but I intend to rip up some of his garden over the winter and make a "small" veggie garden. I've grown a few veggies and herbs in containers since returning at the end of June and I've joined Downsizer for inspiration for small scale urban self-sufficiency.

I've got my priorities right and have some wine and ale on the go already.

Really looking forward to reading all the useful articles/recipes and learning a few things along the way
