What trees are there in the wood Rob? Are they mainly alder? Nice pictures of the cows and swans. That picture confused me rather too.

I take it that it was arable or 'improved' sown grass before then Rob. Looks like the wildlife likes it.

Yes, the arable field in the first picture is the other side of the fence and used to continue all the way down to the tree line.

clifton ings was a definite "surf's up" this aft but none of the gulls seemed to be playing.
hope the moos and baahs are all cosy and above the tide line

Some of the sheep were behind me, and the cows are all at home. Hopefully we'll have more room for them here next year.
