Hey Simon,
We would have been round for a few (or not so few) pints of your best if we could. To far for us on our bikes though. Had to settle for lots of red wine and some cheap lager here in Le Mas.
Nice break from London, brilliant weather. A bit cold, - we had to get the stove going and dig out the extra quilt. You guys are probably all toasty with you newfangled radiator thingys.
As well as drinking red wine and relaxing indoors, we managed to drag ourselves out into the garden to do a bit of work. Great way to spend a day. The best bit was gathering walnuts. 30 kilos. That'll last us a while. Also did some weeding, mulching, planted out some gooseberries and other small jobs.
We'll be over again for a week at christmas time. We'll have a car then, so maybe we can come over.
AND ..
Many many many thanks to Madmonk, who picked us up at the station Saturday morning and took us back there today for our hometrip. Saved us a 3 hour walk. Thanks Ray.
See ya all soon,
Anders |
