Waste not, want not, dried snot hurts no bot . I don't go so far as to leave piles of used tissues in the bathroom for everybody's use, but I do bung them in my pockets to use instead of bog-roll - it seems a waste to just chuck them in the bin.

It really depends which is closest compost bucket, muck heap, burner, manhole, cattle/pig pen.
